Jean-Pierre Yvaral
Yvaral – Paris, December 2009
I was very fond of Jean-Pierre Yvaral. He finished my portrait just before he died. I was his last painting. On the back of the canvas, he crossed out “Digitized Marilyn” and wrote “Digitized Lélia”. It was good for my ego. I look beautiful in this picture. I shall always look beautiful. As Michèle Vasarely says: a good digitization is worth several facelifts. I hate it when my friends die. I selfishly take it as a personal affront.
